Mending The Past
My day really just flew by. I had to work in the store today but it really didn’t take that long to get everything done. I was home before I know it. By the way the pic that I have for today is a pic of my dirty cloths bag that I take to college with me. During my moving home at the end of last year it got very badly ripped and I asked my mom to fix it. As you can see she did it pretty good. It now has a lot more space inside of it now. I really didn’t know if the damage would be repairable or not but my mom did it.
I really didn’t do that much today. I just really woke up, updated my web site, and went to work. That was about it. I did however find the links to the freeware that I talked about in my previous blog report.
The first piece of freeware that I talked about was called GT Ripple. GT Ripple is a really cool program that makes your desktop look like the surface of a lake. It really makes those water pics come to life.
The second piece of freeware that I talked about is called Image Assembler. Image Assembler is a really cool program that takes a bunch of pictures and turns them into a 360-degree panoramic image. I am having a hard time trying to figure out how this works. If anyone out there finds out how this thing works then please feel free to email me and tell me how. The link that I supple for you has a list of instructions but it really doesn’t work.
I really can’t think of anything more to write about. Oh I have decided what to do about the increasing number of blog images on my web site. I am going to start deleting the images that are over twenty old. I am just going to have twenty pics in my blog reports and then the old ones will start to disappear. I think that that will help out with the lack of space issues.
Oh, by the way I got paid today so that means that I am just a little bit away from getting enough money to upgrade my computer again. I am really excited about that. I have wanted an external hard drive for quite along time. I think that this will really help with backing up my files. That is about all that I have for tonight.

Recuperation
I have done absolutely nothing today. I really just recuperated from my trip to South Dakota. You will be able to find more pics of my trip to South Dakota on my Photo Blog. I have enough Photo Blog pics to last until next summer. I really had a lot of fun at South Dakota. I really didn’t know what to expect. What we intended to do ended up getting canceled. I got to see Mount Rushmore, a 1880 ghost town, Deadwood South Dakota, a gunfight, and a lot of other cool stuff. I really had a lot of fun. The only thing that I didn’t like was the long car ride. It was over eight hundred miles to South Dakota. I thought that is was never going to end.
Spending time with my family was what I really liked. It isn't too much longer before we wont be able to go on these trips like this anymore. I am just about ready to transfer to a four-year school and my brother is on his last year of high school. Right now how it looks I will end up going to Southwestern in the spring of this school year. As you can see from my College Page that Southwestern is still in the lead. As the fall semester roles on and my remaining time at NEO draws closer and closer I will update that page for everyone to see.
I did run across two very interesting pieces of freeware today. One was called "GT Ripple" and the other was called "Image Assembler". Both of these programs do very cool things. I completely forgot to write down the web address for them but I will find those tomorrow and give the web addresses in upcoming blog reports. I discovered them both from Tech TV web pages if that helps you out.
GT Ripple is a really cool program that makes your desktop ripple. It’s true potential is used when you have a pic of the ocean or a lake on your desktop. Image Assembler is really cool (although I really haven’t figured out how it works completely). What it does is it turns a bunch of pics and turns them into a 360-degree image of anything. It is a really cool program as well. I had a lot of fun with them.
well that is about all that I have for tonight. Have a nice day.

Road To Home
I am now on my way home. I have been sleeping for most of the trip home. I am so very tired of having to travel in this car. I have noticed that my battery on my laptop is starting to act funny. I really hope that I haven’t ruined it. I really don’t want to have to buy any more batteries for this thing. They are pretty expensive.
Well I have to say that I have really enjoyed this trip. I have had a lot of fun. I really had no idea that I was going to have this much fun. We have done everything. We all played the Kansas Lottery, we went swimming, and we saw Mount Rushmore. I have truly had fun.
All this time sitting in the car has made me do some thinking. I have decided to start a new project. I am going to start my own project and call it Operation Jack Rabbit. I can’t tell anyone what it is all about but I can tell you that it has something to do with my computer.
I am so tired and I really want to get out of this car just a quickly as possible. I really can’t think of anything to write about for now so I am going to go

Mount Rushmore
As you can see I finally made it to Mount Rushmore. It is a truly amazing sight. I have never seen anything with more patriotism or stunning beauty in my life. Just the sight of that magnificent memorial was worth the trip. Oh and by the way, my brother’s football camp that we all came down here for to begin with has been canceled. But it is ok we have had a ball doing all of the things that we can find to do. This whole trip has changed from us dropping Clay off for a week, to us having a giant family vacation. It is really a lot of fun.
There was a lot of miscommunication between the school and us but we got everything worked out and we ended up taking a tour of the entire school and I was really impressed. Although I probably won’t end up going because the out of state tuition would probably kill me.
By the way I finally have a nominee for the stupid list. Her name is Marjorie Calkins, she will be placed on the list because every time her boss, my dad, leaves town she comes up with some bull shit excuse why she doesn’t have to work and then she doesn’t show up. She is pretty much just like her sister, doesn’t care, doesn’t want to care, and has no intention of ever trying to care. She is your typical bitch.
But any way I am really excited that I finally have a stupid person to put on my stupid list. And for those of you who don’t know, there is only two ways for anyone to get off of my stupid list. One way is that you must be dead. The other way is... well you have to be on the list before I can tell anyone that one.
Anyway, Back to my vacation. I have been having a blast so far. Even though we didn’t do what we came down here to do we have still had a lot of fun. I was almost tempted to put the entire school on the stupid list but they really made up for it so I decided not to put them on it. They are a very good school and I was very impressed. In fact you will probably start seeing some pics from their school on my Photo Blog.
Well I have rambled on for quite along time. I am going to go ahead and turn in for the night because I am pretty tired. More blog reports later.

Road To South Dakota
What a long drive. We have been on the road all day. Luckily I have my DVD drive hooked up to my computer so I can watch movies all of the way to the destination. I watched a downloaded episode of South Park, Star Wars Episode I, and Star Wars Episode II. I have had an extremely boring day. I thought that we weren’t going to find a place to sleep.
But, here we are. We are at this tiny little hotel and we get to sleep. I am really tired. This hotel barely qualifies for a one star, but it will do. I know that we will start having a better time just as soon as we get to South Dakota. Actually my brother and I have been having a very good time. We have been joking around and swimming at the hotel. That is about all that I have for today. I think that I am going to go ahead an turn in for a good nights sleep.
Before I go, Right now I am watching "Lost In Space" on TNT. I have always liked this movie. Well that is about it for today. Goodnight.

Vacation Bound
I have had a pretty busy day. I was swamped at the store for most of the day. Well tomorrow is the first day of my South Dakota Trip. I will take tons of pictures and I will write as many blog reports as I possibly can but I will be unable to update my site while I am away. I have to work on Thursday so I know that I have to be back before then. I actually think that I will be either on Monday or Tuesday. I am not sure which. I am going to have such a great time. I really like traveling but I really hate to have to drive. Driving is not cool to me because I really don’t like cars. I mean think about it, we are living in the 21st century and se are still burning fossil fuels in order to get around. I think that that is just silly.
As you can see I really was not prepared for this blog report because I didn’t take any pics for it. You know I think that my keyboard batteries are dying because I keep getting miss keys on my typing. I am usually a good typist but I am also very tired. I almost didn’t write a blog report for today because I am so tired.
I know that I am going to have a great time on my trip this weekend. I know that I will. I have never seen Mount Rushmore but now I will be able to. Well that is really about all that I can think of to write about tonight. I have had a really busy day and now I am pretty tired. Well now I have quite a few days off and nothing to do but kick back and relax. I really hope that I will have enough time tomorrow morning to publish this blog report. I still need to pack my camera and my games and I need to charge my battery.
Well everyone out there in Internet land, I hope that you have a good weekend. Because I know that I will be having a great one. I have been looking forward to this trip for quite along time. Have a good weekend and a good day. I will be back soon.

Fishing Fun
I have had a pretty busy day. I woke up early this morning and I went fishing with my grandpa. We didn’t catch anything but we did have fun. He had to drop me off at the dock early because I had to go to work at 11:00 AM. I really wouldn’t have minded if I could have stayed out there on the lake all day but I need to make some money for school.
I thought that it was about time that I include a pic of my grandpa in my blog reports. I can’t remember what he was talking about while I was taking the pic but it was something about fishing. I really did have a good time today. Tomorrow I have to wake up early but this time it is to get a load of bread from a store and bring it to my dad’s store. Then I have to work from 11:00 AM till 7:00 PM. My dad said that I would get off early because I am getting up early to get bread. Then I need to go to Ponca City and get new lenses for my glasses and some face wash medicine and also some carbon copy printer paper. I have quite a bit of stuff to do tomorrow. I have no idea when I will update my page but just as soon as I get some free time.
Well that is about all that I have for today. I really did have a good time fishing today. Also, while I was working today a lot of girls kept coming in wearing bikinis. That was pretty cool. The only bad thing was that they were Shidler girls. I swore to myself that I would never date another Shidler girl again and so far I have kept my word.
Well that is about it for today. I will be heading to South Dakota very soon and I will have some good pics then.
July 23, 2003 11:16 PM CST
Lazy Summer Days
I think that today has been one of the laziest days of my life. I have don absolutely nothing today. The only thing cool that happened was that my web page was temporally suspended for two hours today. It was suspended because I exceeded my daily bandwidth limit. That is a first for me and I can’t believe that it happened. That means that I got the most hits yesterday out of this web pages entire existence. I am very proud of that. I think that they should make an award for something like that.
Tomorrow I am going to go fishing with my grandpa. I have to go early in the morning because I have to be at work at 11:00 AM. I think that I will just wait until tomorrow after work to update my web page.
I am feeling pretty tired and my allergies are acting up tonight. I think that I am going to go ahead and turn in for tonight.
July 22, 2003 11:27 PM CST
Happy #50 Mel
I think that I have finally figured out a solution to my problem. I think that I am going to start up a mirror site. I will store all of my blog pics over there and then I will link to them from this web page. I think that that will solve my problem and that will defiantly free up some space on this site.
The pic above is a pic of one of my coworkers. Her name is Melody and she just turned 50 today. In honor of her birthday I decided to post her pic online. I have always liked working with melody because she really likes to hear me talk about the stuff that I do at college. She is a really nice person to know. Happy birthday melody.
All that I really did today was wake up, update my site, go to work, and come home. I had a pretty boring day. I gave Cliff a call but he wasn’t home. I tried his house and his cell phone. I will try to give him a call again in a couple of days. I really can’t wait until I get back to NEO. I am really excited about living on my own again. There is something cool about living on you own. You can eat whatever you want, you can watch TV for as long as you want, you don’t have to worry about working to often. I really like to live on my own. It is a lot of fun.
I think that I was born to be a bachelor. I have had a couple of girlfriends in the past but things never really worked out with them and me. I was always interested in getting my work done first and then going out and having a good time. Don’t get me wrong I like having a good time just as much as the next guy, but you can’t have fun all of the time. Work must be completed first. I have a 4.0 because of it.
I really enjoy parties, just as long as they have the letter L-A-N in them. Ha ha ha that is a nerd joke right there. For those of you who don’t know, LAN is an acronym for Local Area Network. A Local Area Network Party, or LAN Party, is a party where nerds and geeks all get together and hook their computers together and play video games against each other until the sun comes up. It is a big thing for us nerds to do. If you haven’t tried it then I suggest that you give it a whorl, you may have fun.
That is about all that I have for today. I have a couple other updates for my site that you will see appear right along with this blog report. Have a nice day.
July, 21, 2003 10:43 PM CST
I’m (finally) Back
Wow! I am so glad to be back. It must have taken me a couple of days to complete my 4-week process. I still have to do my 8-week process but I can only do that one when I am sleeping because it takes so damn long.
I have had a heck of a couple of days. I went to the Eight Man All Star game on Saturday. It was a lot of fun. No football players from Shidler got to go but that’s all right. I took some pictures and you can see them at the top of this blog report and I will also have some up and coming in future photo blog updates. The two teams were divided by class B and class C. Class B ended up winning by the score of 24 –12. I was really rooting for class C because that is the class that Shidler is in.
I am still deciding what to do about my lack of space for my pics on this site. I think that I will go ahead and hold off until I get above 15MB of space used up. I have some ideas and I hope that they will work. I will have to see what happens after 15MB has been reached.
I have a ton of updates for my site planned for tomorrow. Actually they will go online just as soon as this blog report goes online. I have a update for my College page, my Links page, and a couple of more that I will have to do later on down the road.
Coming up this weekend I will be traveling to South Dakota. My brother has a football camp there that he is going to. I will be unable to update my site but I will attempt to write blog reports and also to take pictures along the way. I have never been to South Dakota but I am really excited about seeing Mount Rushmore. I have always secretly wanted to see that but I never have.
I know that my 4-week process took quote along time to accomplish but I am working on a way to speed that up. I spend most of my time just backing up all of my software on my computer onto CD-R’s. Just as soon as I get enough money to get my external hard drive I am gong to use it with my Ghost software and get that 4-week process down to a day or two. I really hate to have to sit and baby sit a computer for two days.
Well that is about all that I have for this blog report. I would like to say "Thank you" to all of the fans of my site who have stayed with me through this long delay. Everyone out there in Internet land, have a nice day.

Fishing

I have had a blast today. My grandpa, my brother, and me all went out to the lake fishing. We left about 10:00 AM and we didn’t get home until 6:00 PM. As you can see from my pic we caught two catfish. I caught one by myself and my grandpa helped me on the other. We all had a blast. My grandma made us sandwiches and we just sat back and fished for most of the day. We didn’t do the trotlines like I thought we would, we used rod and reel. My grandpa said that it would probably be good idea to wait on the trotlines until after I get back from my trip to South Dakota. That way he wouldn’t be stuck doing them all by himself while I am gone. I thought that that was a good idea. I haven’t written about my South Dakota trip yet, but I will later in an upcoming blog report.
Any way, I had a lot of fun out on the lake today. The weather was perfect. If we got the boat too close to the bank then the wind really died down and it would get really hot. That was about all that I didn’t like. We probably had about six to eight lines in the water at a time. After awhile we got to hot and we all bailed off the back of the boat and went swimming. If you notice from the pic I am really tired. I really got worn out today.
In order to free up some web space I went and deleted my unused fire text images. I think that that will free up enough space for a while. I may have to drop my photo blog down to five pics but I really don’t want to have to do that until I really have to.
Also from this fishing trip I got a bunch of material to use in my photo blog. I really have a bunch of pics for it now. Once I have replaced all of the pic in that blog with new ones I will give it some serious thought on what I am going to do in order to get more space. Maybe I am just over reacting and just worrying about nothing. I really think that I am overreacting pretty badly but that is all right.
Well I really don’t have much more to say about today. I really did have a lot of fun. I am so tired right now that I am surprised that I have written this much. Oh and tomorrow I have to do a Four Week Process on my computer so I my miss a day on updating my site. A Four Week Process is something that I do to my computer every four weeks to clean it out and make sure that there are no programs on my computer that I don’t know about (such as viruses). Web Site Problems
Wow! I have had on heck of a busy day. I worked on my web site most of the morning and also my scholarship and then I had to work from 2:00 pm until 10:00 PM. I am really exhausted right now. There is a good chance my grandpa and I getting to go and set those trotlines tomorrow morning. I am really happy about that.
I am however running into a little problem on my web site. Angelfire allows me to use 20 MB worth of disk space for my web site. At this point I am using 12MB. I have been rapidly using up my space with the pictures in my blog reports and my photo blog. I am thinking about dropping my photo blog down to five or maybe three photos and maybe erasing the pics in my blog reports after they become a month old. I think that that will take care of most of my loss of disk space.
One thing that I must do before I do anything is get rid of the extra flaming text images that I have floating around on my site. You see every month I change the font of my flaming text on my page. I just go to flamingtext.com and make some more. I always make more every month but I never delete the old stuff. I always just leave it lying around. That will defiantly take up space. That is what I need to do first is get rid of that damn extra flaming text.
By the way, I have noticed that I talk about the place where I work a lot in my blog reports but I never have actually shown a picture of it. Well at the top of this blog report there is a pic of the Shidler County Store. It is owned and operated by my dad, Rick. Before my dad owned the Country Store he owned a grocery store in town. And the guy that owned it before my dad was my grandpa. When my grandpa got too old and wanted to retire he sold it to my dad and he took over. Before my grandpa owned the grocery store he owned a small store out in the oil field called Hammer Grocery. And the guy who owned Hammer Grocery before my grandpa was my great grandpa, Henry. As you can see working in retail grocery has been in my family for many years. There are even some stories about people on my grandma’s side of the family owning stores and running them.
That is about all that I can think of for this blog report. Tomorrow is my day off and I am going fishing. Although I am a technological based person I do have fun fishing.
July 16, 2003 11:16 PM CST
Unprepared
Sorry about the lack of preparation for this blog report. I had to work from 11:00 AM until 7:00 PM and then I had to come home and work on an academic award and also a scholarship. Oh, By the way I received a letter today from The National Dean’s List. Because of my cumulative 4.0 at Northeastern they want me on it. I had to fill out a little questionnaire. It didn’t take too long. Now that I have another award you can find it and learn more about it on my About Me page. This award came as a total surprise. I really had no idea that I was receiving it.
The scholarship I am filling out was one where I can get $500 toward college and all I had to do was write an essay. I don’t want to tell anyone what the scholarship is called because I don’t want anyone else to know. It is nothing personal, it is just that I need some money for school right now and I am doing everything that I can to get some. I will tell everyone what the name of it is after the dead line has passed.
Because I spend all day working I really didn’t have time to prepare a proper blog report. I didn’t even have time to take a picture for one. Let me see what can I take a picture of for this blog? How about a picture of my computer that I customized myself.
I have an Inspiron 4000 laptop with an external 21-inch monitor with a wireless keyboard and laser mouse. I have a 4.1 surround sound speaker system and three cameras. That is really about all that I have for this blog report. I will have better stuff next time.
July 15, 2003 11:02 PM CST
Rocky To The Rescue
Well another day another dollar. I really did very little today. I wanted to wake up at 7:00 but I accidentally slept in until 10:00. I really hate to sleep for along time. It feels like I waste most of the day when I do that. After I got woken up pretty good I decided that I would update my web page. I think that I had a blog report and a new pic for my photo blog. Then my grandpa called and said that the truck had finally come in. I went into the store and helped unload the truck. Then I stayed a little longer and did some clean up stuff so that I could earn extra money. After that I went home and played a game on my Playstation 2 that my brother bought along time ago. It is called "Dead to Rights." It is a really cool game. I really like it. It starts off where you are a K9 Policeman. You patrol the streets of this city with your dog as backup. I really like it a lot. I have no idea where I am in the game but I do know that I am getting my but kicked pretty hard.
Then my grandpa called and said that he just bought a new lawn sweeper. A lawn sweeper is a big thing that hooks to the back of a lawn mower and scoops up all the loose grass. It is a huge alternative to raking and it takes less time. Well he bought one that you have to assemble by yourself. Since I am pretty good at putting those types of thing together he asked me to help. We got most of it put together before we came to a part where the screws and the bolts were not going together properly. We finally had to give up and he said that he would take it back to Sears tomorrow.
After I went back inside my brother came running in the house and said that he found out something funny with our dog. He said that if he went underwater and held his breath that Rocky, the dog, would freak out and try and rescue him. I have included a pic for everyone at the top.
By the way, the reason that I didn’t go and set trot lines today is because the batteries on the boat were not working. They wouldn’t hold a charge at all. When my grandpa went and picked up the lawn sweeper he also picked up two new batteries for the boat. I think that I will be able to go Friday.
Well that about does it for this blog report. I have to work tomorrow 11:00 AM until 7:00 PM so maybe I will get some nominees for my Stupid List. At least I hope that I get some.
July 14, 2003 10:23 PM CST
Peaches! Peaches! Peaches!
What a day. We now have tons of peaches. I think that we bought out the whole store. My mom, grandma, grandpa, and me completely filled the back of my grandpa’s truck. The trip down there was a long one, almost two hours. I fell asleep twice. I wrote a little on my blog reports and took some pictures. None of them were any good pictures just the few that you see here were very good.
Once we finally go to Porter we had to figure out how many bushels of peaches that we were suppose to buy for everyone that ordered them. Yesterday at church my grandparents told everyone if they wanted peaches and that they could request some. We ended up with over nine requests for bushels. I have found out that a bushel of peaches is actually quite a lot. Lindsey Orchards, the place selling the peaches, was only selling them in half-bushel boxes. Heck even half a bushel was a lot to carry around.
I absolutely love these peaches. They are absolutely the most delicious things in the entire world. I actually look forward to them every year. They are so juicy that the juice will actually run down your mouth and chin.
On my day off I woke up early to go and get peaches, but let me tell you, it was worth it. Tomorrow I have to unload the truck, that only take a couple of hours, and then I think that I am going to go out on the lake with my grandpa and set those trot lines that I talked about in my very first blog. I really enjoy doing that, it is tuff work but it sure is fun. My grandpa, me, and maybe my brother will go after noon. If I think about it I will bring my camera and get some pictures of everything. I really think that the pics spice up these blog reports.
Since I am pretty tired right now I think that I am going to head on to bed. I have had a busy day. I went to get peaches and then I cam home and I mowed the circle. By the way the circle is an area of land in front o my house that is directly across the road. The road is in the shape of a circle and that is how it got its name. Also make sure that you check out my Photo Blog I am trying to update it every day.

Going To Porter
Right now I am on my way to Porter, Oklahoma. I just asked my grandma how many peaches we are going to be getting and it is a lot. Everyone is talking about bushels and pints and pecks, and I have no idea how much that is. My mom said that it all depends on how big the peaches are. Right now we are on highway 60 and heading away from Shidler.
Today is the 14th of July and I have to head back to NEO on the 19th of August. Let me do the math. That is 36 days until I head back to NEO. That really isn’t that much time. A part of me wants to get back to NEO and another part of me wants to stay home. That is just life I guess.
I just took a picture that is a view out the front of the truck. Check it out:
That is pretty good view of the Oklahoma landscape. I will take more pictures once we reach Porter. I know that there is going to be some really good scenes that will be very nice pictures.
Well I think that I am going to go ahead and close this blog report. I will have another report once we get back.

Picking Peaches
I know what you are thinking, "What the hell is Bryon doing going to bed at 10:19 for?" Well there is a very good reason for that. I am going to go to Porter Oklahoma tomorrow morning at 6:00 and I have no idea when I will be back. I am going to Porter with my mom and my grand parents to get some peaches. These peaches are the sweetest, most delicious peaches in the world. I really really like them. I will bring my camera and take a few pics for an upcoming blog.
By the way I hope that everyone has seen my Photo Blog. I am going to be updating it almost every day. I am going to keep ten pictures on it and then as the new pictures come in I will bump the older ones off the list. That way I wont be using up valuable disk space for my web page. Also when my regular blog reports become over six months old the images in those will also be deleted. I want to keep as much free space as possible.
I have been doing a little research on my web site and I have found out that if I spend $4.95 a month I can get the pop-ups removed from my site. I have entirely too many pop-ups. They are not the cause of me; it is in fact Angelfire that is doing that. I have seriously been considering it for some time now. I really think that it will make people like my site more if the dreaded pop-ups are removed. I don’t notice them because I have a pop-up blocker that I installed into my Internet Explorer and Opera has a built in free pop-up blocker. I simply don’t notice them. If you really hate pop-ups from any site then I suggest that you download Opera 7. However I have tried Opera 7 and I was very disappointed. I thought that they lost a lot of stuff between version 6 and 7. I still use Opera 6. Opera 6 is the very best browser out there and I love it very much. If anyone out there wants to get Opera 6 then I would suggest trying Oldversion.com they may have it. If not simply drop me and email and I will send you the setup file that I have. And don’t worry I wont charge you anything. I will do this out of the kindness of my heart. I am a proud believer of free software. I think that all software should be free.
Well I had better get some sleep. I have a big day tomorrow. Like I said I will take some pics and write a nice blog about Porter.

(Insert Title Here)
I was just sitting here bored and I thought that I would update my blog. I hope that everyone out there likes my Photo Blog because I am really loving taking pics for it. Just imagine how cool the pics are going to get just as soon at college starts up again. I will have to censor them but they will still be cool.
I am very proud of my web page and I hope that everyone else out there is too. It has taken me quite along time but I have made it into a very nice site. I have tons of stuff to offer anyone who stumbles onto my site. I know that I wont start getting many hits until school starts.
I have to head back to NEO on August 19th and start Resident Assistant Training again. That is such a boring thing. I really wish that it didn’t take so damn long. Classes don’t start until August 25th but I can make it. I am very anxious to get back to school and get back into the grove of things.
Right now I feel like playing Half-Life. I think that I will.
Digital Camera Call For Help
July12, 2003 11:27 PM CST
Hello again. I have done absolutely nothing tech based today. I feel so ashamed. I didn’t even watch Tech TV once. This is how my day went:
I was planning to wake up at 7:00 this morning but about 9:00 I realized that I had my alarm clock set for 7:00 PM instead of 7:00 AM. I wanted to update my page a little and get some things set up for my next major update. I didn’t have time to do too much. I had to work today from 11:00 AM until 7:00 PM. After work I went over to a friends house to fix her computer. Then after that I went to Ponca City with my brother and we got a burger from McDonalds.
My friend, Debra, has a digital camera just like mine. A Kodak CX-4300 is what it is called. It is a super sweet camera. She was having trouble with the Easy Share Technology software. That stuff is really confusing. I remember when I first got my camera I was really confused too. I spend the better part of two or three hours just playing around with the camera finding out how it worked. Easy Share is just another proprietary software thing that starts up automatically with the computer and runs in the system tray. It is a goofy thing but it does work. But anyway I got the problem figured out and her camera is now working fine.
My next update should be ready right along with the publishing of this blog report. I am planning to put a photo blog on my site. I will have ten photos and I will add one of them at a time. As one of them is loaded on the oldest one will be bumped off the list and deleted. I have to get some of that done so I had better go.
Where Have All The Stupid People Gone?
July 11, 2003 10:47 PM CST
Whew! What a day. I thought that my shift at the store was never going to end. I had to do the dreaded 2:00 PM till 10:00 PM shift at the store. It is the worst shift of them all. I made it though and you know what they say:
"What doesn’t kill us only makes us stronger."
If that statement is true then the terminator had better watch out because I am coming to kick his butt. I am really exhausted. I had to wake up early this morning to catch a ride to Ponca City with my brother Clay. I had to go the eye doctor and pick up some new contact lenses and Clay had to go and see his trainer. I really wanted to sleep in this morning but clay woke me up early. Other than working I really didn’t have too much to do today.
If you haven’t noticed but my Stupid List is still empty. That is because I just started my search for stupid people today. I usually see a lot of stupid people at the store during my shift but I did not see one single stupid person today. The day I go looking for them, for once, they all hide. Isn’t that weird. I just knew that I would be adding two, maybe three names to that list with this update, but know. No stupid people yet anyway. I will try extra hard tomorrow to find some.
I am thinking that for my next blog report to introduce to everyone my family. I will take some pictures and make it look pretty good. Until then, see ya later.
The Stupid List Goes Online
July 10, 2003 10:40 PM CST
I believe that I have just finished my personal best and probably my greatest update to this web site that I have ever had the privilege of doing. I am talking about the stupid page. It can be found Here. I am very proud of this update and nothing will ever top it probably. I am not racist, sexist, liberalist, pessimistic, or lazy but one thing that I really hate is stupid people. People who think that they know what they are doing and actually know nothing. People who think that they know more than somebody that has a degree.
"I am a firm believer in the fact that some people are alive simply because it is illegal to kill them."
Human beings are a very intelligent race. We have taken great leaps and bound in technology and science. We have climbed from the bottom to the top of the evolutionary ladder. We have all these things in our lives that make our land grand, our minds sharper, our strength superior. Yet will still allow stupid people live in this society that we have built. They do not deserve anything that we have built. We built it we deserve to use it. What was the last thing good that a stupid person built? Nothing. That is what stupid people deserve. Absolutely nothing. It is our planet; they need to go.
I am sure that everyone out there can agree with me. Like I said before, I am not racist. I believe that stupid people exist in all races. Weather you are white, black, yellow, red, or what ever there are going to be stupid people in your race. They exist everywhere, and there numbers are growing. That is why I am asking everyone in the world to help us to find these stupid people and give me there names. I will compose a list of all of there names here. Once we get the list long enough someone with power is bound to listen.
I want to exist in a world where good things happen to good people and the intelligent and those with ideas rule supreme. I want to rid the world of the waste and make room for tomorrow.
Please email you list of stupid people to my email address. It is located at the bottom of this page. I will post their name and the date that they were inducted to the list.
Charlie’s Angels 2
July 09, 2003 11:07 PM CST
Today I went to see "Charlie’s Angles 2." It was an all right movie. I think that they could have tried harder on the story line then what they did. It was really more of a chick flick than anything else. I would have rather seen "Hulk" instead. I do have to say that the special effects were very nice and the wire framework was simply outstanding. You will have to watch it to understand It.
I had to wake up early this morning to go to work but I was done by 2:00 PM. I was really tired this morning. I could hardly keep my eyes open. I didn’t once get a chance to get on the Internet today at all. All my free time was spent working on my new web page. I haven’t thought of a name yet but I will probably include it with this blog report when I get this finished.
I really wanted to see "Hulk" but I waited too long. I guess that I will check it out when it comes out on DVD. Oh well. "Tomb Raider 2" is coming out on the 25th, I think. It looks like a really good movie. I am really psyched about that one. I have played most of the Tomb Raider games over the years. There is so many of them that I really can’t keep them all track in my head. I will like to see “The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen” when it comes out, but they still haven’t given that a box office date yet.
That is really about all that I can think of to blog about for right now. More later.
Web Site Expansion
July 08, 2003 10:18 PM CST
Today was not a bad day. As you can see I got a ton of stuff done to my web page today. I altered background colors and text colors, I made a logo for my site (you can see it below), and I started an advertising link for my site. The address for that is here.

It took me quite along time to create that logo and I am very proud of it. I think that I have created a pretty good site here. Now I want to start advertising for it. Tomorrow after work I am going to go to all of the sites that I know of and ask permission for a link exchange. I will send them a formal email and direct them to my main page and also to t the advertising page. I will contact Jim Stenson, all the Tech TV people that I know, and even some of the people that I did link exchanges for on my Myst web site back in 1999. I think that I will get quite a lot of people before the day is out. My web site is pretty helpful I think. No matter what you are looking for you can probably find some sort of information about it either on or through my site. I am very proud of what I have built and I am very glad to have gotten over 2000 visitors.
Also today I completed my 250th SETI@Home work unit. I received an award for it. You can view the award at my Cool Stuff page. It is taking me less time to get it done because I secretly have my parent’s computer working on it all the time as well. It runs in the background and they have no idea that it is running. I might try to talk Cliff into letting me run it on his computer as well but he always has that picture screen saver running and it probably wouldn’t be a good idea.
That is about all that I have done today. I updated a lot of things on my site and I didn’t put them on my C.L.O.C. page. Someday I will have to take some pictures of my house or something and show all the readers of this Blog what my house looks like.
Once a Norsemen, Always a Norsemen
July 07, 2003 11:54 PM CST
Another day has come to an end. I had to go to the eye doctor today. I don’t mind going to the eye doctor but all that I hate is that blue laser that they shine in the back of your eye. That is really annoying. I really wish that there were different ways for them to do what they need to do without using a laser.
Relaying to my “Hometown Troublemakers” blog report I have an update. In that blog report I said that I believed that Shidler was heading for certain doom unless something could be done about the losers in the community. Well, it seems that something has been done. Spray paint cans were discovered with fingerprints and a reward has been raised to anyone that is willing to give information about the crime. $400 has been collected as a reward. I know that to some people that dose not sound like a lot of money but for Shidler that is a ton of money. I have to say that I am really proud of my hometown after hearing that. That shows me that the people of my community are not going to take this lying down. They do have a pulse. I was beginning to thin that it was all but lost for my town but now there is a glint of light at the end of the tunnel. A very small light at best but still a light.
Tomorrow I have to work the truck at the store. I am not very fond of the job but it does pay. I need all the money I can get for the upgrades that I have planned for my computer and also for college. It is really hard to believe that NEO is almost over for me. It seems like I just started yesterday. College has been a growing experience for me over the last couple of years. I mean I got to experience it all. I went from a boring lonely freshman with a bitch of a girlfriend in high school to a thriving born again bachelor with every thing to offer. If life has taught me one thing that is this: “Bringing a girlfriend to college is like bringing a sandwich to a banquet.” And that is the by-god truth of It.
However when it is really over for NEO and me I will look back on the memories with a since of pride for what I went through. I lost a little but gained a lot. I gave a lot and got back so much more. When I started NEO I read the insignia not fully understanding the meaning. “Once a Norsemen, Always a Norsemen” is what it says. I first read it as if it were just words carefully engraved on a piece of nice metal. Now I know its true meaning. Once you throw down the bad things in your life and focus your energy on what is important in life, and give it everything you got, and never give up. You will succeed. I am proud to be a Norsemen, I truly am. I left high school with a bad attitude and bull shit grades, but when I got to NEO, I stepped up and played the hero. The hero I knew that I always could be if I focused on what I needed to do rather than what I wanted to do.
Right now it is after midnight. I had better get some sleep.
T3
July 06, 2003 10:38 PM CST
I just got back from watching Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines. I have to say “Wow!” That movie was simply amazing. The special effects were outstanding. This is one movie that I will defiantly have to buy once it comes out on DVD. There is going to be amazing special effects and behind the scenes. If you haven’t seen it yet then I suggest that you get up and go and see it right now.
I also heard on Tech TV that they are remaking T2: Judgment Day. This version of T2 will come in a special metal box and only be playable on a computer. A computer with blazing fast DVD speed, a 3 GHz CPU processor and about 1024 MB of memory will even be able to play the movie. Only the best and super fast computers will be able to play this thing. My computer is an 850 MHz with 512 MB memory and I have a little 8x DVD drive and that is it. My computer can get he job done but it sure cant blaze the trail like a 3 GHz could.
I wish that I had some pics that I could post here but that is all. But hay did you notice that this Blog has gotten a face-lift. I have added some new pics and I am thinking about changing the colors and stuff but I haven’t really thought about it much yet. I am really proud of the new title. I think that “Bryon’s Boiling Blog” is a lot better than the old “Bryon’s Blog”. I was really disappointed in the old name. I even spiced it up a little by adding titles to my entries, and I even went back and touched up the old entries.
That is really about all that I can really think about for my Blog for today. If you keep reading on down you will see that I actually have two Blogs for today. I have to warn you that this Blog is a lot better than the next one. Before I go I have to say that I have just two more movies that I would like to see this summer. They are “Hulk” and “Charlie’s Angels 2”. If anyone out there has seen any one of these two then please Email me and tell me which one of these I should watch next. More Blogging later.
Hometown Troublemakers
July 06, 2003 5:55 PM CST
During the fun and celebration of the fourth of July, a group of spineless children spray-painted extremely disgusting things on my old high school. Yesterday I was driving with my parents from my house to my fathers store when I noticed that there was paint on the west side of the school. As you can see I called the people who did this children. It takes children, little helpless children, to go behind someone’s back and do something like this when they should tell them to their face.
The graffiti consisted of words, phrases, and pictures that are directed toward the new principal of the school. He became principal the year after I graduated. I have always considered Mr. Bridges as a very good man with very high morals. I believe that he is exactly what Shidler needs in order to weed out the troublemakers, losers, and low-lifes that have seemed to accumulate in my hometown over the last few years. Mr. Bridges is a godsend and I believe very much in what he believes in.
The losers that seem to be growing at a rapid pace in Shidler believe in ignorance. Ignorance is not necessarily a bad thing. Everyone is ignorant in something. Example: The human race is ignorant in knowing weather or not there is other life out there in the universe. I am ignorant in Auto Repair. Some of the people in Shidler are ignorant in common sense. Some of these people would include the ones who deface the property of others.
It is a sad fact to say it but I believe that Shidler is heading toward certain doom. Unless someone can do something about the troublemakers in our community then our protective halo that small towns have will vanish.
Tulsa Trip
July 02, 2003 10:44 PM CST
It has been awhile but I have some very good news. I just recently took a trip to Tulsa, and I went to Comp USA. It is quite possibly the greatest computer store that I have ever been in. I have been searching most of my life for a store that was as good as Comp USA and I have never found it. Now I have. I found the external hard drive that I want. It is called the Maxtor 7200 RPM 200 GB USB 2.0 Hard Drive. I was very impressed. It was selling for $379.99. It is a little high, but it is really what I have been looking for. I also found a 200GB hard drive for $299.99 and an external hard drive kit for $69.99. That way I can Ghost my drive very easily. However I may not have to buy a back up drive. Maxtor is promising something about a one touch back up system built in to all of there external hard drives. I will get the Maxtor external drive before I get the backup drive and make sure that I don’t have to buy that.
I also found a really sweet deal on an external CDRW drive. A company called Mad Dog makes the drive and it is a blistering 52x/24x/52x. I have never seen a CDRW drive like this. It totally blew my mind. It was only about $130.00 bucks. I believe that I will get that one.
I also found the USB 2.0 adapter card and it was about $50.00 bucks. The only thing that I wish Comp USA had that I am interested in is Secure Digital cards that have a lot of memory in them. I want a 1GB SD card and the highest that Comp USA had to offer was 256MB. I was kind of disappointed there but that was only one area. I can go across the street to Best Buy and get my SD card there.
I also found a neat way to watch TV on my computer. It is called Win TV USB and it hooks the cable line from the wall to your computer and feeds it through a USB connection. I am interested in that as well. The only thing that I also want that I can’t find anywhere is a radio of my PC. I can’t seem to find those anywhere. I know that they exist because my advisor at NEO has one.
I am feeling pretty tired so I guess that I had better go. I will Blog more later.
