BLACKBERRY WINE CAKE

 1 white cake mix

3 oz blackberry jello

4 eggs

1 cup blackberry wine

1/2 cup oil

1/2 cup chopped pecans

Combine cake mix, eggs, and wine.  Beat until moistened at med speed - 2 minutes. Grease and flour bundt pan. Sprinkle pecans in bottom of pan. Pour batter into pan.  Bake at 350 degrees for 45-50 minutes.

Glaze

1 cup powdered sugar

1/2 cup butter

1/2 cup blackberry wine

Bring all ingredients to a boil. When cake is done, pour 1/2 glaze over cake while still in pan.  When cooled, remove from pan. Add more powdered sugar to rest of glaze plus 1/2 cup blackberries and pour over top of cake.

 

 

 

USE AS A STEAK MARINADE

salt and pepper steak, then 30 minutes before putting the steaks on the grill, pour 2 ounces of white or red wine over the steaks and marinade for 30 minutes.  this will make the steak fork tender. also tastes delicious.
